I get it. We’re exhausted.
Many of us walk around assuming we can think our environments into being different. What if I told you it was a fruitless effort, and that your physical being operated in the opposite sequence? Our bodies expand or inhibit our human experience, and by manipulating tissue we can expand our aptitude for creativity and perspective.
It’s a wordy paragraph. In short, when we learn how to take responsibility for our own bodies other things start to change. I used to beat my body up hoping that if I looked different it would make me feel different. Anything’s possible, but we can’t become someone else just because of how we look- that comes down to our internal conversation. Giving myself the chance to want to be myself was a process, and didn’t happen overnight. I wanted it to, but I’ve only recently come to the conclusion that I love myself for exactly whatever it is that I am. Those words, “I am” is where it stops because there’s nothing else I need to be. I hope the same for every human on the planet; that someday we all have the opportunity to allow ourselves just to be.
